What to expect when you walk into the Poker Room

There’s always something exciting going on in the Sycuan Casino Poker Room in San Diego, whether it’s drawings for cars, just fun daily bonuses to reward players or looking for a poker tournament to join. Depending on the time of day, expect to see live (Texas Hold’em, Hi-Lo 7-Card Stud, Hi-Lo Omaha) and daily poker tournaments.

Where to go

The Poker Room is located in our non-smoking wing. When you walk-in you are going to want to head to the Poker desk and sign up for a game. Behind the desk you’ll see a monitor with a list of what games are available. Each game has different minimum Buy-ins and betting levels. Check the monitor to see what betting level is right for you. If you are unsure about what game is right for you, just ask any of the employees behind the desk, they would be more than happy to assist you.

Understanding the Betting Levels & Buy-ins

$1 – $2 NLH (No Limit Hold’em) – this is the betting level.
There is a $40 Buy-in minimum & $200 Buy-in maximum for No Limit Hold’em

Betting Level in No Limit Texas Hold’em minimum is $2, and the maximum is all of your chips.

$3 – $6 Texas Hold’em
There is a minimum Buy-in of $30 for Texas Hold’em.
1st round of betting is $3, The Flop is $3, The Turn is $6, and The River is $6. (Betting is in increments of $3 for the 1st round and The Flop, and $6 for The Turn and The River). The higher the betting level (i.e. $4 – $8), the more money you’ll bet each round.

CNE Casino $160,000 Hold 'Em Poker Tournament

Daily, No Limit Hold'Em Freeze-Outs Qualification Rounds, Four Semi-Final Freeze-Outs & One Poker Tournament Freeze-Out Final with a guaranteed $60,000 Prize Pool to a Maximum of $128,000

Tournament Format

• Buy-in $100 plus $20 administration fee (non-refundable) and a maximum of 10 players per table.
• Qualifying rounds are run daily. Hours of the tournament are from Noon – 2am, and run on an as-filled basis until all semi-final seats are filled.
• All Tournament Tickets Purchased are for the Next Available Game on the Day of Purchase. Tickets Will Not Be Accepted on an Alternate Day. Buy-In Fee will also be Forfeit to No Show Players.
• Tournament players to receive $1000 in non-negotiable tournament chips for the daily freeze-outs.
• The winner of each qualifying round will receive a seat in one of the four semi-finals valued up to $800.00, with a maximum of 40 players per semi-final.
• Players that finish in 2^nd and 3^rd place in the qualifying rounds will each receive 10% of buy-in fees up to a maximum of $100.
• Qualifying tickets do not hold any redemption value, and the date of the semi- final on the ticket is valid only for the date indicated. These dates are pre-set before entering any of the qualifying rounds.
• Semi-Finals and Final Tournament dates will be posted.
• The semi-finalists will receive $5000 in non-negotiable tournament chips.
• The top FIVE players from each of the four semi-final rounds will earn a seat valued up to $6,400. Each player will start at the final table with their winnings from the semi-finals. Photo ID required for all finalists.
• All finalist tickets are non-transferable and do not hold any redemption value. The date of the final is pre-set prior to the tournament commencing.

Prize Moneys for the Poker Tournament Final

• The final prize money for the “Poker Tournament Final” will be a guaranteed minimum of $60,000, or 80% of all tournament buy-ins. The additional moneys will be divided as stated above.
